Equipment

  • 1 Blender

Ingredients

  • 4 cups watermelon, cubed and seeded
  • 1 cup ice
  • 2 Tablespoons honey
  • Mint leaves optional - for garnish

Instructions

  • Cut your ripe watermelon into chunks. Make sure to remove any seeds. Place the watermelon cubes in a large blender and blend until smooth.
  • Add the ice cubes and honey to the blender. Blend until everything is well combined and the desired consistency is acheived.
  • Taste the slushie mixture and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding more honey. Blend again briefly if you add more.
  • Pour the watermelon slushie into glasses and garnish with fresh mint leaves. Serve immediately.

Notes

Storage and Freezing
Although watermelon slushies are best right after blending, if you have leftovers, you can pour the slushie into ice cube trays and freeze them. When you’re ready to enjoy it again, just blend the frozen cubes to restore the slushy consistency.
Pro Tip
For the best texture, make sure to use a high-powered blender or food processor. This will ensure that the ice and watermelon chunks blend smoothly, and you get that perfect slushy consistency.
