These High Protein Overnight Oats are a creamy, make-ahead breakfast that's perfect for busy mornings, meal prep, or post-workout fuel. The oats soften overnight while the Greek yogurt and protein powder create a rich, creamy texture. Fresh berries add natural sweetness, and a sprinkle of high-protein granola provides the perfect crunchy finish.
½cuphigh-protein vanilla Greek yogurt(I used Oikos Pro *see notes for recommendations)
Optional toppings:
⅓cuphigh-protein granola(I used ⅓ cup Kodiak protein-packed granola)
½cupmixed berries
Instructions
Add protein powder and milk to a pint-sized jar. Stir until combined.
1 scoop protein powder, ½ cup milk
Add the oats and the chia seeds. Top with the yogurt. Put the lid on the jar and shake until combined and no protein powder is visible at the bottom.
½ cup old-fashioned oats, ½ Tablespoon chia seeds, ½ cup high-protein vanilla Greek yogurt
Refrigerate overnight. Add more milk if needed to achieve the desired consistency. Top with granola and berries.
⅓ cup high-protein granola, ½ cup mixed berries
Notes
Mixing and Layering:
The milk and protein powder need to be combined before adding the other ingredients to ensure the powder is fully mixed with the liquid. If the oats are added right away, they absorb some of the liquid needed to mix with the powder, which creates clumps of protein powder.Protein Powder Differences:
This recipe was tested using Oikos Pro Vanilla Greek Yogurt.
Protein Powder: PEScience Select Protein Powder and Naked Whey Vanilla (see photo #9 for comparison). The kind of protein powder used may affect how the liquid is absorbed. More milk can be added after stirring the oats once they have absorbed the liquid and thickened overnight.
